A few years ago, after my sister had cancer, I started beauty workshops called “Brighter Days”at cancer centres. Being a beauty therapist/makeup artist for the last 20 years, I felt I could help women create a look that that they were happy with during and post cancer treatment. At these workshops the aim is to create a friendly and safe environment where women can relax and have some fun, learn a little and laugh a lot.
At these workshops I spoke to many women about the non medical obstacles that they come across going through cancer, one being how to create eyebrows. Stencils were available but proved difficult to use so I designed an eyebrow tool that works! Blinks ‘n’ Brows is a company established in 2017 and I launched ID brows in October 2019.
One of the biggest issues encountered by people I spoke to at centres and hospitals is that it is hard to find non medical information easily.
The”Mission for Confidence” website has been put together to have all the non medical businesses and services under the one website!
